Trust & Transparency

How Motor Sticker researches, evaluates and presents guidance on motorcycle decals, wraps, protection films and installation methods.

Motor Sticker helps riders choose, design, apply, protect and replace motorcycle graphics. We start with the surface and the rider’s goal. Painted metal, plastic fairings, helmets, textured panels and compound curves can each call for different materials and installation methods. Heat, fuel splash, abrasion and outdoor exposure can change the right answer too.

How we build our guidance

For material behavior, we prioritize current documentation from manufacturers of vinyl, adhesives, laminates, wrap films and protection films. When production details matter, we consult relevant printer and finishing specifications. Practical installation guidance can also draw on documented installer experience. Articles about race numbers or required placement use the current rules of the applicable race organization.

Primary sources are our first choice for specifications, policies, official records, product releases and other details that can change. Strong secondary and community sources can add context, historical perspective and useful real-world considerations. The final recommendation connects the available evidence to the bike, surface and use case rather than treating one material as the answer for every job.

Facts, judgment and evidence

We separate four types of information. Documented facts come from identifiable source material. Editorial judgment interprets those facts for a specific task, such as choosing between a replaceable decal and a full-panel wrap. Illustrations, diagrams and hypothetical examples explain an idea; they are not proof that a project was completed. Firsthand claims are used only when the underlying order, installation, test, measurement or project has been documented.

A clear recommendation does not automatically mean firsthand testing took place. Research-led guidance can still reach a practical conclusion when current specifications, documented installer experience and the demands of the surface point in the same direction. Where meaningful uncertainty remains, such as compatibility with a particular paint system or helmet shell, the right next step is to check the product and vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.

Commercial relationships

Motor Sticker may reference commercial providers when they offer a useful next step for decals, graphics, wraps, protection film or shop labeling. A commercial relationship does not replace editorial reasoning. Material commercial relationships are disclosed on the affected article. Recommendations should explain why an option suits the reader’s particular job, including important limitations and tradeoffs.

Corrections and updates

Materials, product specifications and official rules can change. We aim to use current information when those changes affect the advice and to revise published guidance when a material error is identified. If you spot an incorrect specification, outdated rule or unclear distinction between evidence and opinion, email contact@motor-sticker.com with the page title, the statement in question and any supporting source.

The practical standard

Good graphics advice should leave you with a better next move: choose the film that suits the panel, prepare the surface correctly, allow for curvature and edge placement, and protect the areas that take the most wear. That is the standard Motor Sticker works toward on every guide.
