Editorial Policy

How Motor Sticker selects sources, develops practical recommendations, handles commercial relationships, and corrects published content.

Motor Sticker helps motorcycle owners, restorers, racers, clubs, custom builders, and small shops make informed decisions about decals, wraps, protection films, installation, and restoration graphics. Our editorial focus is practical: which material and method fit the surface, the bike, and the rider’s goal?

How We Develop Useful Advice

We focus on the details that change the finished result: vinyl and adhesive type, laminate, print method, panel curvature, edge placement, and installation technique. Advice should match the real surface and conditions, whether that means painted metal, plastic fairings, helmets, textured panels, compound curves, heat, fuel splash, abrasion, or outdoor exposure.

Our conclusions may draw on research, documented practical experience, or both. We distinguish research and illustration from documented firsthand testing. Motor Sticker does not describe a product as personally tested, installed, measured, or ordered unless that work has been documented.

Sources and Attribution

For material behavior, we prioritize current documentation from vinyl, adhesive, laminate, wrap-film, and protection-film manufacturers. When production details matter, we use current printer and finishing specifications. Documented installer experience can add useful context on preparation, application, removal, and difficult surfaces.

Primary sources take priority for current specifications, policies, release details, official records, and other time-sensitive facts. When race numbers or graphic placement depend on competition requirements, we use current rules from the relevant race organization. Strong secondary and community sources may add historical context, lived experience, or useful edge cases. We attribute information when knowing the source helps readers assess the claim.

Reasoned Opinion and Commercial References

Motor Sticker makes recommendations by connecting available evidence to a defined use case. A material that suits a flat painted panel may be a poor choice for a textured fairing, a tight helmet curve, a fuel-splash area, or a high-abrasion surface. We explain those tradeoffs instead of presenting one material or method as universally best.

Commercial references must earn their place by helping with the reader’s task. When a documented affiliate, ownership, sponsorship, or other material commercial relationship affects content, it is disclosed on that content. Commercial relevance does not replace evidence or practical fit.

Corrections

We welcome corrections to factual errors, outdated specifications, unclear attribution, and material omissions. Email contact@motor-sticker.com with the article URL, the passage in question, and supporting evidence. Substantiated corrections are evaluated against current, relevant sources, and published content may be clarified or updated when needed.
